The husband's looking for a car on ebay and has come across this ...

No feedback, no reg plate, price too low to be realistic and seller wants buyers to phone him first.

Hubby's got NO INTENTION of buying because as always, if it seems too good to be true it probably is, it but I'd like your opinions please.

BTW, he tried the number and said that it's a funny ring tone so he quickly put the phone down

Hi, i just rang the number aswell and can tell you that the tone is normal for someone out of the country, this sounds like a classic Ebay scam going around at the mo, with expensive cars being sold under value, they usually have a story like they are traveling and the car is in another country, im not completely sure but there are a few post on here some where if you search that will give you more detail.

The 07031 number appears to be a personal number, i.e. a non geographic number that can be routed all over the place. Look here for more details: http://www.esms.com/services_numbers_4_070.php

07031 numbers are charged at pn2 rate by BT - this is 50p/minute inc VAT. Please no-one else call this number. It is a scam.
