THANKYOU for your comment however I said I WOULD not that I HAD and I believe if you pay for a service it should be provided. If RM chose to ignore their own procedures they should be made to refund for tht service no?
Absolutely correct, if you pay 95p for a signature then RM has entered into a contract with you to provide proof of exactly that. Therefore I always do Recorded Delivery on anything over a few pounds when I sell on Ebay. IF it gets lost then I will claim in the knowledge that I have that contract with them and that RM have to refund me if they have not completed their part of the contract. By the way our Postie ALWAYS gets my signature..or leaves me a note & brings the item back the next day.:T2013...nothing..still hoping though!!0 -

Don't forget to claim for your postage costs back when SD items arrive late.
I claim every time an item doesn't arrive by the contractual time.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

So are you also saying that you would make a fraudulent claim for loss for a delivered item if a signature was not obtained? No wonder the postage costs are so high if so many people are dishonest.
Iti is perfectly OK to claim the costs of the recorded element if a signature was not obtained, but claiming for the whole item is outright fraud.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. How is it Fraudulant? If I can't prove it's signed for my buyer claims off me why should I not then claim off RM. Once I've posted record delivery it is not up to me to prove delivery it is Royal Mails so really if anyone is in the wrong it's RM for not delivering the service fr which they charge? If RM woud like to stop these claims I suggest they get their post people to do their job correctly?0

Stupid RM then, if I send recorded and get no signature id make a claim weather I knew it had arrived or not, at the end of the day I would have paid for that signature, so they should have got one?!How is it Fraudulant? Yes, this statement you made suggests fraud:
if I send recorded and get no signature id make a claim weather I knew it had arrived or not
Item arrives and you make a claim and sign an official claim form to say that item was not delivered and you can't see that being fraud?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
