DVD Remote broke

We have a medion dvd player 2-3 yrs old. The remote was trodden on & does not work. I bought one of those all in one remotes & this controls all my equipment except for the dvd player (typical). I mailed the 4 in 1 remote people & was informed that the dvd player i had was one of the few that was not controlable with their remote. I have looked on the medion site & can't seem to find any spares. Also mailled medion - but waiting for reply. Any ideas? Medion MD 41059
