If you pop into your nearest florist they sell the nice ribbon by it's self, it's only about £1, that will look lovely tied around a bunch or two or re-arranged supermarket flowers.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Sorry to hear your news. My Grandma died earlier this year and I had a similar dilemna re: funeral flowers. I was involved in the service and logistics of the day, so didn't get round to thinking about the flowers until 2 days before the funeral, which limited my options. In the end, I made my own (something completely new for me!) which turned out rather lovely.
I made a simple double ended spray (look at google images), using a circular piece of oasis covered in foil, placed in a very shallow tray. I cut all the greenery from my garden and bought a small plant of white flowers to create a floral arrangement in the centre. I basically started with the outside and built the layers inwards with smaller pieces of greenery and finally arranged the flowers in the middle, plus a note/card. (All the greenery/flower stalks were pushed into the oasis to keep them in place.) Several people commented upon how lovely it looked, it was personal, took about 1/2 hour and saved me about £55 (it cost about £5 for all the materials) in the process.
It was very easy, straightforward and highly recommended.0 -
Some of the Tesco's Finest bouquets are lovely.
I was at a funeral recently and got to thinking about my own, I want people to bring just a regular bunch of flowers and then take them home again afterwards, I hate to see them go to waste.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Some care homes and hospices accept donated flower arrangements.0

If you have a local college with a floristry dept they will probably do funeral flowers much cheaper. I get all my flower arrangements from mine, Xmas Easter, Mothers' Day, funerals etc. Usually very innovative designs too as they are teaching aids.0

Sorry for your loss.
Is it a bouquet or a wreath you want?
I stumbled upon this thread yesterday ( I though it had something to do with grammar schools) and I see one poster there recently made her own stunning wreaths for a family funeral. It's post 3389 with pictures.

I would say a Bouquet really.
I clicked on the link to the thread, but for some reason I get page not found.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
I am going to agree with those who said "home-made".
I recently went to a funeral of a friend I was close to when our children were growing up. She had moved away so we had become the "xmas card & occasional" type of friends.
3 of us from our village, who had all been "mums-&-tots" friends together thought we would like something that conveyed a message about her place in our lives.
We got some Oasis and made up an arrangement of hedgerow flowers from the village hall grounds, things from our gardens and even (with permission) some from the house where she used to live. Her children were very deeply touched, and put it on the main table at the reception.0
