PPI claim- confused how to start...

Good morning

Wonder if anybody can help me with what to do with my PPI potential claim. I have lots of questions and am struggling to understand all the information!

Firstly, I used to have a Clydesdale bank Mastercard which I'm positive had PPI insurance on it. I never asked for it and was only 18 when I had this card (am now 30) I finally closed the card about 5/6 years ago after running up loads of credit on it and paid it off with money from my mortgage that I got. I don't have any information about the card at all- not even an account number.

My second query is about my Egg credit cards and egg loan. I'm unsure if I had PPI insurance on the credit cards but I def had it on the loan. I was asked if I wanted it and stupidly said yes :-( When I got together with my ex partner he helped me improve my way of thinking with money and made me put in a claim for mis-sold PPI against Egg for my loan. I sent a letter that he wrote for me (I think by looking at this website) They told me they didn't believe I had a claim and I left it at that- should I have? Again, I don't have any information at all, not even an account number.

What is the best way to go about re-claiming or does anyone think I even have a case in either instance?

What is it that I need to do to get the information and where do I send it?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm quite confused by the mass of information and wondering whether I have a claim or not? Quite unsure about where to start and how to get the information that I need. I'm currently in about £7k worth of debt and am exploring all avenues to try and reduce this debt. Thank you for reading my post :)

Send a DSAR(Data subject access Request) to the lender along with £10. This will take 40 days and should come back with all info they hold on you including account numbers and agreements etc.

Give as much info as you can to help them find your accounts Dob addresses etc, ask for all info they hold on you and not just specific paperwork.
