Can anyone help, tried to access internet last night shows connected but the icon in bottom taskbar has a yellow triangle with exclamation mark.Tried to connect to BTfon hotspot also and same thing.
Tried reset modem made no difference and other devices eg ps3 and ipods connect fine.
Laptop runs windows 7, only 4 months old and is virus free. Have had to wait till at work to access internet and googled the problem but seem to be going round in circles.
Can anyone plese point me in the right direction so i can print it out and try at home tonight.
Thank you.

open a command prompt, and type:-
"ipconfig/flushDNS" without the quotes, then Enter. Then, type
"netsh winsock reset catalog/ " again without the quotes, and ensure the space after the slash before you hit Enter. This last one will need a reboot after it's completed.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

If that doesn't work -next step is to connect the laptop to the router with an ethernet cable and see if you can browse the net (narrowing down if the problem is wireless only or not)
Then come back and tell usI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I had this problem the other day on a friends laptop. It was suggested that I uninstalled the free trial of Nortons...However there was a free trial of MacAfee on the laptop once removed it connected easily.

Go to Network and Sharing Center.
In the View Your Active Networks section, if your network is set as a Public network (shows picture of a park bench), change it to Home, and it should work. How do I add a signature?0
