Anybody else from a CMC's want to post how good they are ????
  • I had a phone call 4 months ago by total financial solutions and i was asked about ppi i had on a mortgage. I agreed to pay the fee of £150. I was very sceptical and worried for 2 days, I also found out after the call my partner was scammed by a ppi company a year ago in Swansea so i was even more worried. However the paperwork arrived and i completed it and returned it. After 7 weeks i did not have any phone calls to tell me what was happening so i called them. There was a very helpful man called john who said he will call me back to give me an update. at this point i thought i was going to have to call back every day to get an answer, but i was wrong he told me he had sent a chaser to the bank and we would find out in two weeks. I waited the two weeks and was told there was no ppi there on one of my claims but the other claim there was money owned but it was only £23.40 in charges. However he said he would refund me as it did not make me better off. With in a week the £150 was back in my account. I was over the moon with the service I had and I am now pursing a mortgage claim with the company as it turns out my mortgage has been miss sold, and i have already had £600 back in mortgage exit fees back . I do understand that there are bad claim companies out there was this one seems to do there best, and they have done what they promised.

Thanks for posting the same thing again Jono, glad John was so helpful Jono...

When did MSE start becoming a place for employees and representatives of CMC to advertise their business for free ???

Hope you pay MSE a marketing fee:mad:

So the CMC you now champion, phoned you about ppi that it turns out you never even had and then refund you for a service they did not provide...

So by your own admission, you was mislead to believe that you had a claim for ppi, when you never had a policy (very common trick with CMC's)

Is it any wonder that people show such contempt towards CMC's... You should remember that MSE (this site) states that you should reclaim ppi yourself and not use CMC's.. I thought I would stress that point...
  • Hello,

Just an update on my situation. I have now reclaimed my deposit through the chargeback service with my credit card issuer.
I can say they are a genuine trading company and although in my case they where useless I think they may of helped many other people in reclaiming money for a fee. I think I might go down the route of trying to reclaim myself now although I don't see much wrong if a person agrees to pay a fee to a company to do the legwork afterall you can do your own conveyancing when buying a house but many don't.

Hope this reasures anyone found in my situation reading this that you have not been scammed just make sure you pay any deposits on a credit card for that safety net.

Dear Helpers, I made a ppi claim last year through an agent on my mortgage, and was informed I had no claims. Few months later my wife claimed for the same mortgage herself; and got paid. The claims company have since been chasing me for breaching their contract and intending to take me to court. They have added extra late charges to this penalty; and intend destroying my credit history. I have explained that my wife got paid, not me; and since we are both financially connected, my name will come up on her claim. Please advice. Thanks
  • I recieved a call this morning from complete claim solutions who obtained my details from an accident i had 2 years ago. They said i could have upto £2500 comp.
I did not give them my bank details just the details of the accident (other drivers fault) they are going to call me back in two days.
Anyone heard of this company? Should i be worried? Not many reviews about them online
    Thanks
  • I to was called by this company and like a fool I was told I could reclaim thousands on my mortgage mis selling. Yes I paid up front 719.00 . I was eventually told after 12 months my claim was un successful . I have tried to get this money paid back but keep getting fogged of with excuses of chargebacks and suspense accounts my money is being held in. My bank say because I paid this fee on a debit card I only had 120 days to claim back I believe this company has purposely waited this long so I could not get my money back.. All I keep getting of them is my money is being held in a suspense account . I am piggy in the middle between the bank and total financial solutions. Please can anyone help or have advice on what to do short of driving to Swansea
  • i paid 100 pounds as i didnt have the 199 pounds asked for and yes i recieved all the paper work and it was passed to another company to get my refund. i waited two year and then recieved letter to say i wasnt entitled to ppi refund. so i went straight on the phone to total financial solutions to get my 100 pounds back. that was beginning of april and im still waiting. after numerous phone calls and i have even emailed the director but he never replies. i have told them they have till next week and im going to see a solicitor. ive had enough

The MoJ regulates claims companies but the FSA is having to deal with the mess that claims companies are creating as the FSA regulates the financial companies. Banks are now reporting up to half the complaints from claims companies are fraudulent. So, you can see the scale of the problem.
