Wednesday 2nd May - What small DFW things will you do today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!
Good Morning all, I hope you don't mind me starting off but I thought as I'm up [STRIKE]bright and[/STRIKE] early I'd get moving!
Off to the airport today so definitely not a NSD for me but hoping to make a few dents in the DFW list!
* Check banks
* Make allocated payment to CC
* Ring loan company and scope out potential of early repayment. If not/ huge charge, start looking at savings accounts (crikey, didn't think I'd ever say those words). I think I need to give myself a bit of momentum for the next few months now that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
* Hang overnight washing on overbath airer (starting to look like Widow Twankey's here)
* Try and drive sensibly for 450 miles today to get it out of one tank of fuel!!
Hope you all have a lovely day

Morning all! Thanks for starting us off sunshine.
It's Wednesday woooo! But feels like there's going to be a long slog before the weekend. More overtime today! Also OH is in the dog house because I found his lunch box from last week (containing the delicious sandwich that I lovingly prepared) hidden, untouched, inside the slow cooker.:mad:
Am annoyed on so many levels.
So today I must:
Work more overtime
Charge phone in work
Possibly batch cook some cheese sauce but not sure I will fancy it at 9pm.
Have put braised beef into slow cooker for later
Have read the weekly email
Check onepoll (only 5p to go!!!!!!)
Check online banking. (only expecting to see removal of the £66.06 spent in Asda) - suprise addition of 40p interest to my ISA account. Excellent!
Keep fiddling with spreadsheet. Getting excited because am coming up to statement dates so can play more when I know my interest. (How pathetic is that?!)
Rant at OH (money saving in that it will teach him not to waste food. If he'd have just said he didn't want the sandwich, I could have eaten it! :money:)
