I have bought myself, when it arrives from China, a USB AA battery charger costing 99 pence so I can recharge my wireless mouse batteries on my computer instead of a separate charger.
How do I find out which USB ports on my computer output the greatest current or whatever it is they output?
I have 2 on the front, 4 on the back and another 2 on a PCI card.
The motherboard is an ASUS P5N-E SLI

According to the manual it's the usual 500mA @ 5V per port. You may however be able to use their Ai Charger utility.0

Aye, standard USB 1 and 2 sockets are limited to 500ma per socket.
Some do go above that on specific ports (I've got a usb docking station/port replicatorr I bought cheap specifically because it has 2x 1amp usb socket).
Some cases also have a "dummy" usb port that is really just a charging connection.
IIRC USB 3 raises the output to something like 2500ma per port.0
