I wonder how many people have accepted these partial offers? there must be thousands who do not know that they are being hoodwinked by these companies, it was the same with the goodwill gestures for this extortionate PPI, in both cases the PPI total is still on the loan to term end with interest, it makes my blood boil to think of all the money that has not been returned to consumers because they are using "get out" reasons and even then they are not telling customers that the PPI is still on the loan.

I couldn't have put it better myself, they will try anything to get out of paying the consumer what they are due.
  • Hi, this is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right! I recently rang lloyds to complain about ppi on 3 loans that I had in 2001, 2003 and 2008! All over 5 years but they each replaced the previous, they were for £8k, £14k and £12k I remember paying £357 a month between 2003 to 2008 for the £14k one, of which about £90 a month was ppi! I received an offer letter yesterday for £4188 for all loans, they say that don't have all the details so have paid interest 8%! Unfortunately I don't have paperwork :( I felt this was a lot less than what it should of been!?! I don't know what to do?

It is possible they do not have the details for the 2001 loan and have redressed with what you settled the loan from 2003 for, the loan in 2001 and finished in 2003 would only have had a few PPI payments made as this was cleared with the 2003 loan.

Without the exact PPI amounts for each loan and the terms, it will be hard to see if they have redressed you right, did they give you any figures to show how they worked this redress out?.
