Does anyone know.....?

Hi there,

I've put a lovely jacket on Ebay *link removed by BG* but I've had no bids or anything, does anyone know if there's a place I can advertise it. I know it looks like I'm doing that here but I'd love to sell it for my holiday in seven weeks.

Thanks a lot

Hi sorry, I've removed the link as that might be considered an advert and against forum rules.

However, the question remains...I personally can think of nowhere that allows adverts where it is worth posting. By its very nature any web site that allowed adverts would be full up of sellers posting their auction details, but no one would be reading anything. Most sites that talk about ebay are like MSE in that they have strict no advertising policies.

More people browse ebay than browse other sites where adverts are placed, so if there is a buyer out there then they'll be on ebay already.

You could try posting on the ebay community forums, but if you post a link or an item no. they'll rip you to pieces ;) Make it subtle!

Remember they can see what you're selling just by clicking on your name.
