Late rooms online booking error, what are my rights?

Hi, yesterday a booked a two night stay at hotel in London requesting dates for a week Friday but when I checked my email conformation today it said I had booked for this weekend when I rang the online booking company they confirmed that I was indeed booked into the hotel this weekend! When I explained that these wern't the dates I had selected when booking online they said that to transfer to the following weekend it would cost me more! When I stressed that this was their mistake not mine they said there was nothing they could do! Due to their terms and conditions to cancel I would have to pay the full anout-fair enough as I had read this when I accepted the booking do my only option was to transfer to the weekend I had initial requested but was informed it would cost more for my prefered weekend? I reluctantly paid but feel that the date mix up was their error! Have I got any come back on this? What are my rights?

If you go into your memory and check back there could be something there to prove what was booked . Late room sometimes change back dates if you are rechecking things like prices /rooms etc and need to be fine toothed before checkout . (not saying you havent but you could have)(i could have)How much extra did you pay & against the price of the hotel ? hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
