Chain is complete - what next....?

Our chain is now complete and is only a chain of four - the person buying our property is going to rent it out and the couple selling to the the people we are buying from have moved out into rented! Also, bizarrely, the people we are buying from are buying from the same estate agents we are selling with.

Anyway, roughly roughly, how long can we expect things to take.....? When would we (in theory) find out our completion date?

Thanks
Skintyx

I know this is of no help but the answer is 'How long is a piece of string?'

Even though you have established your chain and you may be ready to go there could be a hold up with another party in the chain. Their mortgage offer could be delayed or their searches.

Without knowledge of the progress of every persons transaction in the chain it would be difficult (near impossible) to guess accurately.
