Help please with orange livebox

Thanks to your help last week, I have reduced my monthly broadband charges and along with it received a new gizmo.

New gizmo's create new problems for a technophobe like me. You are going to groan, but I need some help re installing the livebox. First thing the cd tells me to do is, switch off firwall and virus programmes. I know I am being really thick, but I cannot see how to switch off zone alarm or the avg, could some kind soul point me in the right direction please.

Thank you.

Bottom right of Windows where the clock is there should be icons for AVG and Zone Alarm, Right click them, then select quit or shutdown program.

Personally, I'd ignore the advice, there certainly is no reason to switch off AV..
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Thanks everyone, I now have it installed.

I did end up having to phone the customer support team, although I had it all connected up correctly and had done nothing wrong, it wouldn't let me type in my passwords, so had to ring to get it done manually from their end. However full marks to the guy, he was very good and helpful, apart from the 0870 number I really couldn't fault them.
