First Choice haggling?

Hey,
I was wondering if anybody could give a little advice. Found the perfect holiday for £1183 with First Choice, I am wondering if anybody has had any experience of haggling with them? What do you think my chances would be to get it down to around £1100 maybe a little less? Read somewhere that they will now and again do a deal, it's a little out of our budget.
Any advice would be brill thanks

Haha, how would I go about doing this? Call them? I've never done anything like this before, haven't been abroad with the family for around 10 years so pretty clueless0

Well I just made the call and she said no0

The key is to try and get the price lower elsewhere, then use this as a bargaining tool.
What hotel are you planning on going to and dates if you dont mind me asking?
Im in the process of looking at holidays now for June, so dont mind having a quick search for you to see if I can get it any cheaper on websites which I use?

If I were you I'd ask to speak to the manager (as they have the power to offer the big discounts) and ask him the BEST deal he can offer before you start to look on the internet as you've been happy with First choice before.
I think you'll be surprised at the answer as I was when I got a holiday of £1100 reduced to £880 at the travel dates and hotel we supplied. Good luck!!0 -
Ring Thomsons with the info as they're in the same group and if they won't do anything try Thomas Cook or the coop you've nothing to lose.
If Tc can do it they will its easy money booking a holiday when someone rings up with exactly what they want.0 -
Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm looking at the Lagotel Hotel, Play de Muro, Majorca.
14th June is the date we got, flying from Bristol, all inclusive and 2 adults 1 child (12)
Might have to try calling again and ask for the manager then maybe?0 -

Hmmm... it seems that the hotel is a first choice UK exclusive.
On the first choice website im getting £1152 for your party for those dates and airport.
Another thing which may be of interest - is either yourself or partner eligible for the thomascookholidayclub discount?
Only if you ring the holiday club, you get a 5% discount on TUI group holidays, which if my maths are correct, would take you below your budget of £1100?
Failing this, dont ring the first choice number, ring a local Thomson branch. They are more likely to be able to do discounts for you!
