Ippodromo Le Capannelle Rome - tickets

Anyone been to a concert at Ippodromo Le Capannelle, in Rome?I want to buy tickets for a concert in Summer, where's the best place to get them from, and what's a good hotel nearby. I need transport from the airport, (Ciampino Airport I guess) to the hotel, and to the concert, and returns. Any suggestions, or do I just hire a car for a day or two. I've never been to Rome, and my Italian isn't up to much, so I can't just skim the websites for this. Is public transport good? Anyone help me with anything?
