New PPI claim

Hi
I wanted a bit of information from you guru's out there before i take out a ppi claim.
At the time i took out a credit card i was unemployed/Student, the card was taken out in February 2005 and i closed it in October 2008. I seem to remember canceling some PPI at some point during the card as i was paying for something i didn't need. However can i still reclaim any of the money before canceling? Also i have a barclaycard which i not sure if it had ppi protection or not, is there anyway of checking this out? Unfortunately i have already used up my free trail for experian, is there any other companies that do the same thing or can i get the information else where.
Many thanks

Your credit report will show any credit agreements you have used in the last six years but it won't show whether PPI was included. I think all three credit reference agencies offer free trials. Call credit also have a free credit report membership/marketing service.
