PPI claims agents

Hi
Can any advise me please......My wife has claimed a PPI via one of these claims and collect companies but have done very little since. I've had to chase the Halifax for the monies owed.
So do I still have to pay the claim company or can I challenge them to reduce the outstanding bill or not pay them at all
regards
Dave

I am afraid you will still be liable for their fees. Some people get fustarted by the amount of time a claim takes and think its the CMC`s fault but they are ususally just going by deadlines set by the banks of how long they are allowed to investigate claims. Just because you haver chased a payment of money does not mean you have done the claim yourself although if you had come here early you prpbably could have done it seems.Hi

BLINDEDBYMEDIAPROPAGANDA does not always see eye to eye with me (I suppose he doesn't see at all!) but he is correct.
If a CMC does nothing and you chase the CMC up but find you have to do it yourself you might have a case but simply bypassing it is not really going to help your cause.0
