G24 new terms

Good afternoon all

as i work for a large vehicle hire company we have had a contractual parking charge notice (new one on me not in any thread ??) issued to us by G24 for one of our hire vehicles overstaying its welcome in a wickes car park. Funny thing is the vehicle is on hire to Wickes.:rotfl:

Ask the DVLA for the details of any requests made for the vehicle.

Could be fun to have with this one.

Private parking companies consider that their signs create a fair and legally binding deemed contract between the car park owner and the driver, that their demands are their losses and not fines or penalties, that these are reasonable, and that they’re legally enforceable.

I never thought that I'd ever find myself saying this, but pay G24 immediately and then pass the charge and a nice fat administration fee to Wickes. :)

thanks for taking a look, well the stance of my company is just to inform the ppcs of who has hired the vehicle and let them do the chasing. i have also been told that they have received 4 notices on seperate days for the same vehicle on the same premises.

also Alexis what do you mean by have some fun with this ??

Wahtever you do dont pay up, after all you would be contributing to the ppcs profits, and above all posibly hurting a customer (Wickes)
although you could have a gerat deal of fun with it, and even try and use it to encourage Wickes to get rid of the parasite PPC.

a phone call to the manger of the sotre telling Him ( or her) that one of the vehicles on hire/lease from you has triggered a parking charge for overstaying in a car park of £XXX.XX (silly amount ) then after a bit of talking, mention that the car parking company is acting on behalf of a Store on ( read out address of the wickes store in question) and if theyve sent any threats to you you can also inform the hirer/leasee about these and take it form there with the idea to wind up the store manager who allows these parasites to opperate in his car park.

    hi half way

sounds a good plan but wickes are part of a bigger group of companies who spend a very large amount of money with us annually so i dont think winding up the store manager would go down well:D like your thinking though. they only bought it to my attention as i am fighting a ppc with the help of someone here and keep asking me how the case is going.

I think I would reply to the PPC with an amusingly-worded but clear letter, then.

    Summat like:

'We have received a notice impersonating a parking ticket and understand there may be others relating to the vehicle, VRN xxxxxxx.

I gather you are acting as agents on behalf of Wickes, as the on-site retailer at that car park?

In that case you should be able to sort this out amicably as I can tell you that the vehicle is currently on hire...to Wickes at the same address.

Any further letters to our company in attempting to pursue any of these fake PCNs will be charged at the rate of £20 administration fee per letter and I reserve the right to take legal action. As you will know, a lease company is not responsible for such private charges and so your unsolicited contact to our company - a firm clearly in the vehicle leasing industry - is already considered harassment.

    love and kisses

Or words to that effect, whatever you fancy really. Copy in Wickes and tell them it's a fake fine anyway so they don't stupidly charge their poor driver.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My thinking isnt along the lines of winding him up as in a practical joke-to annoy, more along the lines of taking hiom down the road that the private car parkign company is their by the permsion of the store, and ( you would asume) to run the car park for the stores benefit.
