Hi all

Have had house on market for the last 12 months, been with 2 agents that could not sell the house.

Switched agents again 4 weeks ago and have now accepted an offer £3k below asking price.:T

But....

Couple that have made offer are involved with an equity release scheme, andthe management company will be buying our house.

They are coming round for a 2nd viewing today.

Is there anything i should be wary off???.

Also I’m off today to view a couple of properties.

One house that we really like has been on the market for just over 2 years, general consensus is that it’s worth between £200 and £220, but they have it onfor £249950.

Have been told that they have not had any offers and viewings have been few and far between.

Any advice appreciated.

If the house you are interested in has been on the market for two years, I would go in with a low offer. Have you looked at the sold prices of similar properties, this will help you find out if the property is very overpriced which it would seem to be.

With the equity release, can you ask your solicitor for advice on the details of that ?
