Childrens bank account benefits

We would like to open bank accounts for our little ones, aged 4 and 1. Nothing drastic, just an account to get them used to putting in a little money every now and then. With this in mind, I've had a little look around and the rates all look quite similar for this type of account. We are with Nationwide so that would be the easiest to open.
My account as a kid was c/o in my nan's name with the Abbey National, adn I can rmember getting magazines and things every so often in the post which as a kid kept the excitement going to for me and made saving money a little bit interesting. I'd just like to know which banks/building societies offer what benefits for kids as in little things they will get.
If all the accounts are similar in so far as interest rates and access then I'd quite like to find them both one that will give them something interesting every now and then
Any ideas?

I'm sure he even covers the freebies!
My children have Halifax Save4it acounts at 5.05% and Regular Savers which pay 10%. They got a moneybox, a bag and little fake bank cards which my little boy loves because he thinks it's like my credit cards! He even keeps his in a wallet.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My 18 month old has a Nationwide smart account, there are absoutly no incentives (except the best customer service ever!) as it's in my name on his behalf, I think it switches into his name at age 7 & they might introduce incentives then but until then zip I'm afraid.
