Accidental damage question

When you take out a building and contents insurance there is the option to take out accidental damage for both of them or not to.
My question is if you have an expensive kitchen and it is damaged (fire or flooding for example) what level of cover do you need to be replaced (do you need accidental damage for contets for example)?

If the damage is a result of an accident, then yes you need accidental damage cover. So, if you have caused the flood by say drilling through a pipe then you need accidental cover.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
