Where to buy average priced wooden venetian blinds?

Hi

I am looking for some wooden venetian blinds in beech for my bedrooms, unfortunately my windows are not average size so I am struggling to find the right size, and have a feeling made to order will cost a bomb!

Any ideas where I can get some for a decent price?

Sizes are approx 203cm x 122 cm
205xm x 122cm
104 x 125

Thanks!

  • I bought all mine from Ikea, which were reasonably priced. My windows are also not standard sizes and to have some blinds made was going to cost ALOT of money. I bought bigger sizes and cut them down with a small hacksaw - you can't tell once they are up and providing you don't cut off too much that it affects the blinds workings they do the job fine.

We've bought all the blinds for our house from blinds4uk.co.uk. Great quality (they are the same blinds that Hilarys blinds stock but half the price). The online quoter is useful too as you can tweak the measurements and find out exactly what it will cost. They're very easy to fit as well. I recommend

If you look on Quidco.com, they have quite a few companies e.g wooden blinds direct, who have an on-screen calculator that will give you a price on made to measure blinds. I havent used any of them yet but have ordered some free samples (you get cashback even for ordering these so log in if you're a member) and was pleasantly surprised at some of the made to measure prices.

    Good Luck

I used wooden blinds direct (see Quidco) and they were excellent. Cheaper than other quotes I got, Hillarys quoted me £1,200, but got better quality from wooden blinds direct for £480 inc delivery. I went for 50mm Sunwood ones, but you can get samples to see colours and sizes.

+1 Ikea, you can check the sizes online link.

Use two the same size to do the 2 metre windows.

I've used them too, we were very pleased. And they only cost about £150 compared to £600 at Hillary's.
