  • so much to catch up on, will have to try over the weekend

little lexie finally made an appearance on tues evening at 11.52pm in a very quick labour, sadly she has a little heart condition (like her sister) but nothing too complicated, finally came home this morning, she weighted 6lb11.

Am very happy and tired!!!! Thanks for all your well wishes, will pop a photo on over weekend if i can!!

    congratulations :t:t:t
  • I bought a fish bowl type glass vase a few years ago (from mr t's but lot of places like Amazon sell them). I fill it with Christmas baubles of various sizes & colours & looks really effective as a centre.

You can also add some of those tiny white battery operated lights. V pretty:xmastree:
  • Just a quick HI to say Congratulations Will-Be-Debt-Free on the birth of your lovely daughter. Wishes and prayers that the heart condition is easily controlled. Wishing her Good Luck, Good Health and happiness xx
  • Well have finally caught up. Arent we all busy bees. Went to a garden centre last night for opening of xmas dept. Somehow ended up buying another small xmas tree, hidden from hubby, for yhe downstairs loo! And a couple of ornaments. Want to start building up one of those village scenes. At this rate gonna take years, the buildings are pricey!
Just bought a father christmas and a street choir.
Now must get on and tackle my to do list starting with the ironing. Catch up later x

Can anyone suggest a Christmas DVD for our Christmas Eve hamper? Last year we had Nativity which we loved and I'd never heard of it until I saw it mentioned on here last year.

We've most of the main classics, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, Bad Santa, Santa Claus, etc., and we saw Arthur Christmas at the cinema so trying to find something none of us have seen. I've looked at the Christmas releases for this year and there doesn't seem to be a lot. My children are 7 & 5 if that helps and looking for something that has the same amusing but Christmassy feel like Nativity. The only film I can see that we haven't seen is the Polar Express, we did have it for ages via Love Film but never ended up watching it and I've read some quite depressing reviews.

Any help would be appreciated as it's the one thing for this year I'm really, really stuck on!

No worries on the DVD front! Love the idea of the Wii game though, sadly out of stock but I've set up an email alert! Fab idea and it's something different to add from last years!

  • Sofa bed arrived this morning and its really comfy, strong and good value (found it on the grabbit boards). Just what we need for the times DS will not be able to manage the stairs. Ordered the last of DSs clothes online and wrapped some things last night. Finally starting to get that smug nearly done grin on my face :D

have to say Polar Express is far and away my favourite, its so magical and the animation is beautiful, I love the music as well, there's nothing about it I don't like! If I were to recommend one amazing Christmas film it would always be Polar Express for me! :) xx

I LOVE the Polar Express. It's one of my favourite Christmas Movies.( I have it on DVD). I don't find it depressing. It's not a quick , laugh a minute film, but I think it is lovely.
Everything turns out ok in the end. It's a feel good movie.
