Snugglebunny - knitted hat is a great idea, she loves zebras too (only as they start with Z as she's a zoe lol) so I'll def check that out! Have enough notebooks, pens, lip gloss to open a shop with lol. A lot of dds friends and in particular her cousin are into designer stuff and she's starting to take notice. Her cousin in the last year alone had uggs, hunters,Barbour coat,Paul's boutique coat, juicy couture nag,Chanel bag (!!) and lots of other designer things - she's only 10!! Luckily dd isn't asking for any of those! (bar the hunter Wellies but he just likes the zebra socks
    x

if you wanted to get some Uggs or Emu's (I have both and prefer Emu's!) you can often get them for pretty reasonable prices, just keep an eye on the grabbit board! I haven't paid more than £60 for any of mine :o

If she's a fan of Zebra's maybe see if your local zoo have an adopt a Zebra scheme? You can adopt any animal at our local zoo, not sure of the price though, might be waaaaaaayyyyyy expensive :D
  • OH MY GOWDD I'M JUST SOO SOO SO SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
    :snow_laug

I'm making my my grifts this year for loved ones.

for my partner - I'm making him a candy bouquet (like the one in this photo: http://img.inkfrog.com/pix/Heatherw67/festive_lua_candy_bouquet.jpg)

You basically cello-tape chocolate bars onto kebab sticks/skewers then stick them into a swimmers noodle / polystyrene (or that posh florist foam stuff) that is inside of a vase!!

I've got a swimmers noodle and stocked up on a lot of his favorite chocolate bars from Poundland (4 pack of big crunchy bars £1 etc) Just keeping my eye out for a cheap Vase :)

I'm making my Dad: Scottish Tablet, white chocolate bark with cranberries and pistasios and shortbread.

I'm making my Stepmum: Cherry Bandy - bought KOREN sealable jar and bottle from Ikea, then about a month ago, bought two big bags of cherries from Waitrose (they were reduced to £1.20 because it was their best before date but some of them wern't even that ripe yet!) and a bottle of french brandy from Asda, I sterilized the jar, took the stems off the cherries, pricked about 3/4 of them - poped into jar with some sugar and covered with the brandy. I've been giving it a good shake every other day. It's looking wonderful! Should be ready by December!

Nanny has a fabulous Jigsaw 1500 puzzle from amazon for about £2 (what a bargain, lovely beach scene too)

Partner's Step dad has the same as my dad (need to make then Christmas eve eve)

Partner's sister has a necklace, watch and bracelet set from Argos we got back in the Sales! (I think it was down to about £6?)

Partner's Dad has a coster set from Dwell - we had a voucher a while ago for free £20 so we bought this and you get to put your own pictures in, so we've put pics in of the whole family, really lovely (I got my dad one with my £20 voucher for father's day!)

My mum and Stepdad are have got a lovely candle, a photo frame (and I intend to put a nice picture of them in it) and a room infuser. There is this lovely little shop in town that sells all this quaint trinketry stuff thats good quality and next to nothing, like the photo frame was £1.99 I expect they;ll also get any shortbread, scottish tablet thats left over too!

Partner's Nan and Grandad have the same as my Mum but a whicker heart decoration instead of the room infuser (from the same shop) and I'll out a nice picture of them inside their frame (its hand carved out of wood and has a little heart o at the top)

So thats it! I'm so excited

Partner's Nan and His Dad's girlfriend have their birthdays in January so I've got their birthday presents as-well (from B&M Home Store) Nan has a Royal Jelly bath set, lavender soap and moisturizer set
and a His Dad's GF has a really beautiful bath and body set made by the poppy Co. (i think it was about £3.99 but looks like it could be £20 from boots!!!)

    My god I can't wait!!!!!

snowboots were about £40 for both and

trowsers were £7 each and coat about £20 and his was £25 so i'm quite happy to be honest!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

    Xmas Saver!
My DH just purchased a tin of Quality Street for me awww! But he said that he hunted the whole shop looking for the full size tin! ROFL.
He was so confused bless him.
He doesn't eat them as some contain nuts so he just steers clear incase he eats a wrong one by accident so hasn't really paid attention for years at the size of the tin and I had to say I was shocked too, it's like half the size they used to be.
I wonder if anyone knows how many grams used to be in them? This one 825g including wraps. £6 in Morrisons (cheaper than driving to asda and paying parking).

We never usually buy tins of chocolates but he felt bad for me as I had a bad day bless him.

p.s when i opened the tin it smelt like christmas :D

Just been in Morrisons . They have white 1.2kg tins in for £7:snow_laug

    Xmas Saver!
 Festive Friends were half price last year in Sainsburys at the end of October, so am waiting to see if they do that again!

Thank Snugglebunny8, but I don't think I will be able to hold out that long :rotfl:
The wine is in the fridge cooling:D

Morrisons have them for £1. Is that the normal price ?
If so, the 50p saving wont be worth the headache it will give me.

Car in garage tomorrow. If it's out early enough I will pop into town and get the calenders.

I am so impatient when I get down to a few items.
  • You couldn't possibly let me know how to password protect it? :) Thanks x

Click on the bell in the top left corner and there is a passlock option about 3 lines down! My daughter can read (she is in yr1) now, so thought it vital to put one on!!
