Having such a mixed day. There have been tears, smiles & lots of naughty food. I should be spending all day wrapping presents at my grandmas, drinking endless cups of tea & getting offered food every five minutes. That's what Christmas eve was like a few years ago. This is the third Christmas without my grandma. Still miss her loads.
Anyway, today here has been busy. Been trying to tick everything off my list. DH worked a half day & came home with our traditional fish & chips. Then I've had a bath (too quick & not as relaxing as it should've been), tidied up some clutter (put it into bags and told myself I'll sort through it at the end of the week. I won't. And I'll be searching for whatever it is I've lost for hours!) and now I really, really want to sit down & watch a film.

Oooh, how exciting! I've just been sent a tweet from a theatre star! I follow her & she tweeted about buying Muppets Christmas Carol on DVD, so I tweeted wishing her a Merry Christmas & saying its my fave Christmas film & she tweeted me back saying Merry Christmas. :D

NOTE: do not "mix and match" this one with NORAD as they appear to send Santa in different directions..... He was in Thailand on NORAD and only just into Australia on Google.
I'm sure last time (a few years ago) google earth tracked Santa and matched NORAD's.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

:rotfl: I noticed that. And the google one just sent him in the opposite direction to us. Not clever if you trying to get the kids to bed with ' He's getting closer'.

ETA -I do like the little dance thing he does on the google one when he reaches a destination.
  • Hi all, just checking in to see how you are all doing, hope you're having a lovely Christmas Eve. I've had a bit of a lazy day today! My brother came over this morning to open his birthday cards and presents which was nice but then he had to go off to work and then I've pretty much just sat & watched TV & eaten constantly! I'm now tracking Santa on NORAD & watching the Snowman and the Snow dog! We're then off to midnight mass later & then it'll be time for Christmas day! Exciting.

Thanks to those who sent best wishes regarding my dad, it was confirmed he had a mini stroke so now he's going to be on medication etc. I'd like to think this could be a lifestyle changer but we'll see!

Any who, I just wanted to say now have a very merry Christmas everyone! May it be the best it can be for all of you whatever your situation is! Xxx
  • Thanks OMO for the new thread, I've just checked it out! Thanks for all the effort, its very much appreciated and will be great to start the new years with!

My birthday is 29th April if you'd be kind enough to add me x
