Tax credits and sickness

My tax credits is due for renewal this year. I am in full time employment and earn around £12000 a year. But for last year i have only earned around £4500 because i was off work with a long term illness, although i am back in work do i declare that i only earned £4500 for last year even though my earnings will be £12k+ next time?

Hope someone can make sense of this.

How long were you off sick? Is that £4500 including any statutory sick pay?

Did you tell tax credits that you were off sick if it was for more than 28 weeks?

You tell them the actual figure from the P60. If that is 4500 then that is the figure you give them.
