Selling a car

Cheapest would be to put a sign in the window of the car.
Personally you want to look for most effective and that is probably auto trader or as a second choice ebay.0 -
You will reach many more people using Autotrader or a classified ad on Ebay so are far more likely to get the price you want. You don't mention the value of the car being sold but generally the higher selling price possible far outweighs the small fee charged by the above companies
The other advice would be, don't just list the car on ebay, sell it! Far too many sellers put no effort into listing their car and any missing info will be seen by buyers in a negative way. Give a full desciption and lots of good photos0 -
Sell it on pistonheads.
It's far cheaper then ebay or autotrader, also you will get far less idiots and scammers on there.0 -
Given he's short of cash I'd have though it would be a older car. That and it's "my son2 so I suspect, small engine and more of a runabout.
with that in mind, Gumtree, at least it's free (unlike all the other other options)
Autorader £10 if it's worth less than a grand and big audience
Ebay £15 but for three not two weeks as a classified ad.
Pistonheads £10 for two weeks. Smaller audience but as siad, less potential for time wasters.
Gumtree - free but high time waster potential.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Hi
thanks for the replies,it's a Chrysler Sebring 08 reg,he's hoping to get about 4,750 for it but it's not a popular choice of car. It's a lovely car, alot for your money but not many people are after them. He's got a young family so he can't afford to run it.0 -
Park it as close as possible to the Chrysler dealership with big "FOR SALE" cards on the front and rear screens.
As long as it is a bit cheaper than models of the same age/mileage in the dealership there should be some interest0 -
are these known for self combusting?0
