insurance for a provisional driver

hi, hope this isnt a repeat post, have had a look through and cant find the info im looking for!

im currently learning to drive and recently tried to get insured on my partners car, but due to the car being modified they wont insure me as learner...they do offer a learner driver insurance package which lasts 3 months, but this is only available to under 25's (im 32)

does anyone know of a company that would insure me? just wanting to get some more driving experience whilst im learning etc

You may want to check the smallprint though, They may exclude modified cars.

I'm searching for provisional driver insurance too. My cheapest quote so far is from collingwoodlearners.co.uk
It's a little confusing as some insurers are only offering you cover on someone else's car, while others will insure you as owner/driver. I'd second the advice to read the small print carefully.
