Phone the EA first thing tomorrow morning, and let them know that you also own the house. Although she can market it for sale, it can't be sold without your signature.
If she's selling it for £50k more than you paid for it, then I'd deduct the mortgage owing, selling costs and her deposit from the sale value, then split the equity 50/50.
Hopefully she'll agree, as otherwise it will cost her a fortune in solicitors fees to force the sale!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
If the OP should be paying half the mortgage for the period of the separation until sale, this means that the OP will have paid for 1 and a half of the 2 units of accommodation used by the separated couple for this period. As it seems ex asked OP to leave, why should he bear the cost of 1.5 units of accommodation and the ex only bear the cost of 0.5 units? If she's selling it for £50k more than you paid for it, then I'd deduct the mortgage owing, selling costs and her deposit from the sale value, then split the equity 50/50.
The ex should at least contribute half a market rent for joint house or half OP's rent. Come on guys, fair is fairHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
