Help! Ascot cancelled need a substitute!

Please help!

12 of us had planned to go to ascot with the free Moss Bros tickets on wednesday but this has now been cancelled.

I have already got my picnic food (was delivered yesterday) and all of the drink!
I have also put down £50deposit on the minibus which he said we will lose or we can use it towards another journey......

we are unsure as to where to go now!

Has anyone got any ideas what we could do for the day, 12 of us, picnic food and around £300 for taxi and activity. We will be leaving from Hornchurch, essex as that is where the majority of people live (we were staying at the inlaws)
I did think of hiring a canal boat but the only one i can find you need to go on a course to drive it!!!

Please help!

Thanks

Zoe xx

What a shame maybe Windsor has racing on or what about going to London always something going on there.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

Cheltenham have a race on that evening, might be a touch too far though.

Romford dogs race on Wednesday nights. Maybe leave the picnic at home (or take it to the beach in the afternoon), and don't be wearing a big hat.

Wear the hat its the law . Still have your ascot at The dogs . Bucks fizz tastes just as good anywhere . Or just head into the smoke and catch a early show etc .

I hope I'm not to late to tell you that Ascot is back on, but at Kempton Park (Sunbury, west London). It'll be on the sand rather than turf so no waterlogging problems. It's free for everyone and you can wear a hat as big as you like. Prize money is down a bit, but it's still a £100000 card (not bad for a Wednesday) and there are still three black type races so there will still be some good horses running. More details: http://www.kempton.co.uk/Raceday-details?EventID=EVENT-30042012163402

Just be warned, Kempton is nothing like Ascot. Romford dogs on a Wednesday night is a classier affair.
