Wife does not want artex ceilings anymore

Im currently having virtually all rooms in our house replastered as it was all artexed.
It has worked out about half the cost i thought it would - basically just charging £50 per ceiling (some rooms only need this) and about £200 per room.0 -

I am interested to know, has anyone plastered over artex without scraping the top off it first? A plasterer I know will not skim unless it has been scraped.0
