Hi all, just after some advice/ knowledge on stocks and shares.
As I work for Airbus, owned by EADS,(European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company ), I have to chance to buy up to 500 shares with a discount of 20%. The shares have to be kept for a year.
Airbus itself is in a state at the moment, a new program aims to restrcuture the firm with a loss of 10,000 jobs accross Europe. Things I suppose can only get better.
Anyone any BASIC information on stocks and shares? (whats the difference?)
Has anyone any experience with shares? Success stories/failures????
Is this a good offer and worth considering?

With Airbus in the state it is I'd wait - unless you think it has turned the corner in which case buy. You don't sound terribly sure however - but 20% gives you a goodish buffer. Could you ISA the share scheme shares??
There's no difference between stocks and shares
