help with laptop please nothing on screen

hello wonder if you can help?
i have a problem with my laptop.
i have a flashing white cursor on the top left hand of my screen and nothing else.
what have i dont(possibly not logged out propably) bot sure

i just dont know (remember) how to fix this problem.

    Have you tried booting it in safe mode?

    i wouldnt know how to boot it up ion safe mode.
    put the lap top on as normal nowt on but fllashing cursor

    Alternatively, hold down the on off button for 10 seconds

    that seems to have got it looking a bit healthy!
    it is working fine now!

    One tip, back it up with Norton ghost or acronis trueimage, you'll need that backup one day.
