Reclaim my PPi

Hi I want someone to claim my ppi for me as I can't be bothered with the hassle. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good company with a low % take.
I would do it myself but when I contacted cahoot they told me I had no claim as I supplied them with incorrect information.
When I took out my credit card I was asked want kind of employment I had and I told them I was in full time employment via Manpower employment Agency. They are saying that as I told them I was in full time employment that it was my error even though I was never covered if I lost my job. I was with manpower for 5 years.
I also cleared the credit card and back then they used to have an option to cancel PPI on there web site. I clicked this several times yet the PPI was never Cancelled. So as you can see there are two issues here that will take some sorting out and I just do not have the time to deal with it. Plus I imagine that I will just be fob off and given the run around. So can anyone help?

What hassle? Registering on this site and posting the message you did is about the level of hassle you will have.I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good company with a low % take.
They are pretty much all expensive and do nothing for the amount paid. It still doesnt avoid you having to provide them the details.I would do it myself but when I contacted cahoot they told me I had no claim as I supplied them with incorrect information.
And a claims company uses exactly the same channels as you do. So, would have got the same response. Plus, as you have already complained, you dont get a second bite of the cherry.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If you've already complained and been given a final response, you have six months to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. A Claims company can't help you now, as the information you supply is the same as if you write to the Bank yourself and you can't complain again. The Bank should have included contact details for FOS, but here is their site:I would do it myself but when I contacted cahoot they told me I had no claim as I supplied them with incorrect information.

I can't see you getting anywhere with your assertion that your internet request for a cancellation was never actioned, since your statements would have shown that the policy was still being paid and you could have subsequently phoned or written to cancel. However, there is nothing to stop you making a separate complaint about this aside from your mis-selling complaint.0 -

If you can't be bothered, why should we be?
No because there is no such thing.I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good company with a low % take.I would do it myself but when I contacted cahoot they told me I had no claim
So you could go to FOS free of charge now then.as I supplied them with incorrect information.

There is an FSA rule, albeit relating to investments, that says a firm is entitled to rely on what a customer says unless it is manifestly out of date or inaccurate. So I think Cahoot has a reasonable defence.I also cleared the credit card and back then they used to have an option to cancel PPI on there web site. I clicked this several times yet the PPI was never Cancelled.
That may be an issue but there will need to be evidence.
A claims company will have to fill in the standard FOS questionnaire which you must sign - so you can either take the time to do it yourself or become complicit in any fraud it commits by lying on your behalf.I just do not have the time to deal with it.
FOS is free - complete one form and send it off.Plus I imagine that I will just be fob off and given the run around. So can anyone help?0 -
Yes, it's very hard to see what kind of evidence could be produced for this.magpiecottage wrote: »there will need to be evidence.0
