I've been quoted £60 by a plumber to fit replacement kitchen taps (single hole mixer). Fair or too much ? Thanks guys !

Seems reasonable if it's a fixed quote, not an estimate where problems may increase the bill. Has plumber seen the job? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

It's a simple job to do but he's going to be there an hour, so with a call-out that's what a tradesman would charge.
Personally i'd check it out and see if you do it yourself.

If that includes the replacement Mixer Tap then I would say that is rather reasonable.
If thats just labour only then I would shop-around as you will probably get another plumber for around £40 (45 minute job on average but will charge for the full hour)0 -
That sounds very reasonable to me. I once paid £130 for a plumber to fix a dripping tap. Older and wiser now.0

Yes he has, said he'd do it for £60, so I assume that's a fixed quote. That's why I was wondering whether to go ahead with him or phone around to see if anyone was likely to be cheaper.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. £60 is fair, especially if the taps don't have in line isolators and the hot tank has to be drained down.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
