How to check if online shop is real

....Do you think it's worth calling their bank (Lloyds) and ask if they are genuine?
No.
Of course the account is genuine. They need a genuine bank account to receive your money. (A fat lot of good it would do them if it wasn't.) Besides Lloyds ain't gonna tell you jack - customer confidentiality and all that.
It's a scam. Don't send them any money. Never buy anything by bank transfer.0 -
THanks for that, I didn't think to look up the IP. It's clearly scam, I will not go anywhere near them, might try to report them to their bank or the police. Anyone aware of any sites to report online criminal activity?
The sad/frustrating thing is that they come up in the google shopping search.0 -
Look up a site called Yalgo.net now offline, but google the company, it is the same scam, the website is identical and they have left a trail of scammed customers behind them.
Rule is if its seems too good to be true it probably is dont get caught people0 -
I have access to Bosch staff shop, its £285 in there but they charge an outrageous £60 delivery so that makes it mre expensive than some shops (works out good for us if your ordering several items or a very expensive item as charge is per delivery.)
Look here on dontbuy4more search page, several legit suppliers from £306 (Currys using code on page) delivered which is still good for an excellent machine.0 -

Thanks 'Steve' with your first post and dodgy English ...
Not only does the site Witur lift it's T&C from Superfi as mentioned, it's got a Worksop address with a Leeds telephone number ... hmmmmm....
Why don't these kind of sites get squashed much earlier ?0 -
The post code given on the witur website does not match the address.
Witur Website
'Address:
Witur Store
London, Shireoaks Colliery Business Centre, Worksop N90"
Actual address of the business centre
'Shireoaks Colliery Business Centre
Worksop S81 8ND'
An N90 postcode would be in North London.

Similar experience.
Camera I was after was £15 cheaper on this site. Went through the process of buying it but the site asked for a bank transfer of funds, which I'm not prepared to do to someone I don't know. E-mailed them a couple of times requesting alternative payment method, i.e. Card or Paypal, but they haven't got back to me. Tried their quoted phone numbers but there was no reply and the phone appears to be plugged into the fax socket and vice versa.
Did a little bit of research and the company?? appears to originate from Belaruse.
I would avoid like the plague!!!0 -
