Hi,
I've read that your dog can stay with you in the Travelodge's around the country.Has anyone ever done this? How much does it cost?
I have a Labrador dog who is 'quite' lively and I'm a bit concerned about taking him.Any advice please.

I took my Springer with me about 18 months ago when I stayed at the TL in Tewkesbury. Cost £10 if I remember correctly.
No problems at all - they were happy for me to have him in the room, but do check when you book.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
I am surprised they do this because you don't get any warning when you book with them that there may have been dogs in the rooms you reserve. I am very allergic to dogs and would be really ill if I was given one of these rooms, maybe I should ask in future or book with someone else0

I would have thought they have a number of rooms that they kept just for guests with dogs?0

Personally, I'd hate to stay in a room that had had dogs in.....I'm not allergic to them, but I'll bet the standards of cleaning aren't up to much"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

I have stayed in Travelodge with 2 chihuahuas. No charge for little dogs.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

Yeah, they definitely let dogs in. I stayed in one once and noticed every other guest seemed to have them with them - there was a dog show going on nearby. On Travelodge website is says:
"Can I bring my pet with me?
We allow up to 2 domestic pets, with a charge of £10 per pet, per stay. Please let the hotel know once you have made your booking. Payment will then be taken when you arrive at the hotel."0 -
I take my two labadors with me, cost £10 per dog per stay, they are great with them, some of the rooms even have pet beds.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

No problems with them. Guinness loves it. They never seem to have a problem with you and always look at the dog. Makes going away a lot easier with the dog.
Thinking about taking Guinness to Ireland as they allow dogs into the pubs near my friends but am thinking this may cause problems when all the Irish go to the bar and ask for a pint of Guinness and he runs round the pub looking for everyone shouting his name!**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -
I've taken my St. Bernard to a Travelodge with no problems, but I ring and check first before I make the booking as I've been told some managers are more helpful than others, but so far I've never had any problems.
Floyd, if you are very to allergic to dogs you are taking a big risk when you stay anywhere. Every hotel, b&b, etc must allow service dogs to stay by law, so they can never guarantee that a room will never have had a dog stay in it. Even if they have rooms allocated for people with dogs, they would still have to allow someone with a service dog to stay in a non-dog room, if that was all they had available.
As for cleaning, I always clean the room throughly to get rid of hairs etc, and in the case of places like Travelodge, I usually leave it cleaner than it was when we arrived! When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0 -
W"e stayed ijn London with our trainee Guide Dog. They wanted to charge us but backed down eventually and he stayed for free
They charge the extra for the extra cleaning but responsible dog owners like me and pboae ALWAYS clean up after usI haven't got one!0
