Vent - Post Being Opened

Options
Grr. I am so angry at the moment! I am phoning Royal Mail first thing to complain and I have already e-mailed my neighbourhood officer.

I was walking home last night and I found my OH's payslip + opened envelope in the middle of the street about 5 minutes from our house. I haven't received a bank card either so I have had to cancel it and ask for a new one to be sent. I may not even get the new one.

I won an Andrex Clean Campaign prize too and that hasn't turned up either. I've asked for a new one to be sent and no sign yet?

My vent is that who the fudge is opening our post?!

Re your bank card ask if you can collect it from the bank.

Go into the delivery office to complain about your post and maybe if someone is stealing your post get yourself a lockable postbox.

If they steal it before it reaches you, that won't help...

A couple of years ago, a postman called and handed me some letters/packages. They were all financial ones marked confidential, they were from credit card companies and banks. One had been slit open neatly along three sides, the contents had been removed then replaced, a rubber band had been put round it.

I complained. I just got some waffle about the Post Office taking great care of the post...

We are going to buy a lockable postbox at the weekend.

Thanks for the advice. I am going down to the post office this week to complain.

It is just very frustrating that they leave my subscription magazine alone yet help themselves to everything else?

My dd has had a similar problem. Her letterbox is at street level, due to the postie not putting the letters all the way through, while my DD was in hospital, then recovering at mine, the local kids were pulling the letters out and scattering them. We wondered why when I went down every 2 days that there was no mail until we found it in the street.

I contacted RM via twitter and they were very good. It solved the problem for a few weeks, but now it's as bad as ever. She's usually in when the postie calls so can get her mail, but when she's in hospital or such it's a different story :/
