Take your hubbies advice and leave it to the installers.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

In actual fact, the disable bay is not his exclusively, it is a disabled bay that any one can use with a blue badge.
To be honest, I would just stay out of it and let the gas compny deal with it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I think i may go out for the day when it is being done , I can just see problems ahead. I can just see what will happen, he will refuse to move his car from the bay for them to dig the road.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Why don't you ask the people who created the bay? The trouble with this is that the engineers are going to be ringing their boss when they are confronted with a customer stating they are adversely affecting their health.
They always have the right to get to their equipment for safety reasons but for non essential work I suspect they have to obtain prior agreements to have an alternative solution for the disabled person. Those who assign the bay might be able to advise on this.
Given you have a history, you just know he/she will make it difficult.
In terms of being anyone's bay, I suspect its been assigned to a residential property, its for use by the homeowner who requested it...not that the issue probably ever comes up with a dispute with another badge holder.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
hope this goes ok for you OP
i find it very interesting as to who can park in your neighbour's disabled parking bay??
i see these bays outside houses all the time and totally sympathise with the resident's need for the bay. however all they have is the standard disabled icon: meaning anyone disabled can park there?
confused???
again - hope all is ok with mains gas installation x0 -
We are getting signed up tomorrow to get gas heating in . We live in a street with terrace houses and the gas pipe runs down opposite side of road to my house. Now this is where the issue is. Where the gas company need to dig the road to connect us to the mains has a disabled bay outside the house.
We do not speak to this neighbour as we have had issues in the past about parking, before he got the disabled bay marked out. Can he stop the utility company digging outside his house to connect our gas into mains? The guy who is signing us up for the gas says no, I am just worried that when gas company comes to do it he will refuse to move his car to give access to where they need to dig.
Speaking to this guy is not and option as only times we have ever spoken over the years ( 12 years ) have always ended up with rows and usually police involved.
Hubby tells me to leave it between the gas company and him , he cannot stop them accessing their pipes on a public road.doelani wrote:I think i may go out for the day when it is being done , I can just see problems ahead.
