Morning everyone, thank you to JJ for last week's lists and to Dusty for this weeks :D Count me in this week as I need to get on with things..

Had a bit of a meltdown last week as DH was on tender hooks waiting to see if he was one of those that were going to be made redundant from his department at his bank. Thankfully he wasn't and neither were any of his team so they all breathed again. Yet saying that I have never seen someone so upset that he didn't get redundancy..lol. He would have got a very good payout, plus mortgage paid for a year which would then have cleared it totally. And have a hefty sum in the bank.. I actually had to remind him on the phone to show some enthusiasm he was still at the Bank..lol. Strange man!! Thankfully he is part of a group of managers that won't be looked at now until another 3 or 4 years when HSBC decide to do another round of redundancies, if the economy doesn't pick up.

Unfortunately the department that were opposite him weren't so successfull, they lost 50% of their staff  I feel so sorry for them especially as the majority of them were youngsters.. :(

On top of that I didn't know whether I was coming or going last week, I don't even think I had time to breathe..lol. I was in and out to the point my front door was looking like a revolving door, either picking up school children from school or babysitting while my friend went to her foster parent meetings.. :D I also had my cake club meeting on Saturday and then yesterday I was baking cupcakes for another friends' cake sale in aid of her charity bike ride around India. I think I may have overdone it a tad bit as my body is complaining and I am showing signs of exhaustion - I am having to use my energy tablets to keep going at the moment. Hubby isn't too impressed as he can see what will happen to me and I don't think he fancies another relapse.

Plus we have Bella the dog, our house guest, still here for another few days. And I have been working with her to get her used to people etc.. It is working and I know her mum and dad will be so pleased :D

And on top of all that I have the builders in  At the moment they are only taking my old flat roof off and putting down a brand new fibre glass one, but everytime they make a loud noise the three dogs bark.. Mayhem indoors...aaah!!!

The sun is shining today and that is better than it has been, which makes me feel more energised today. But I am going to have to pace myself a bit today..

embb I am sorry about the rabbit, is he going to be okay or is there no hope.:( How sad for you to come home to, ontop of the tweenie party as well..
PP hope this week is much better for you hon.

Welcome to the newbies, you'll love it here. Everyone is so friendly and we are like a little family - I've been here for longer than I care to remember and I class everyone my extended family :D And I know there will always be someone here to cheer me on when needed, or to pick me up if I need it.

Rang nurse about DS3.. he is under close observation at school and we think we may have observed absence seizures which are obviously very concerning.. he is also having weird behaviours at random moments which we are not happy about.. why is nothing ever simple?!

It hadn't occurred to me till your post that this would be another way the younger worker is at a disadvantage; cheaper to get rid of as less redundancy money required, doesn't have any specialist knowledge that the company can't function without...:(

As I'm at home today and waiting for a parcel, it's time to get some housework done without straying too far from the hallway or creating an obstacle course:D

I'm seeing off the cold and cough virus (that is common in this neck of the woods according to the GP) and am a bit wiped out as a result. It's even put me off food:eek::rotfl:
So, I'll go and feed the washing machine and make another brew. Cranberry and Orange fruit tea sounds sensible. Would be even better as a muffin, though;)

Have hoovered upstairs and mowed the grass front and back as it was briefly dry. Half way through packing. Need to do a bit of work before I head off.

    Afternoon all

Embb sending you a big hug. You must be so cross and upset

Glitterball welcome, do whatever works for you

Sunny here so WM1&2 on the line and No3 waiting for a bit of space.

3 pairs of muddy trainers cleaned and drying outside
    Floors hoovered and mopped
An hour's weeding done out front.

Going to make a cuppa and then another hour in the garden emptying bulbs from tubs and planting them out.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
