Shower cubicle or no

Please could someone give me an unbiased opinion based on these pics.

Previously asked about bath and loo recommendations but undecided about an overbath shower or cubicle and I'm driving DH mad:o

Current set up is as follows

I think if we leave the loo where it is but rip everything else out (old airing cupboard only has towels in) we'd have room for a bath and a cubicle but would it be too squashed.

TIA

If you do what you have suggested you will either end up with:
    - a normal sized bath and a very cramped shower, or
    - a full sized shower cubicle and and small bath, or
    - a full sized corner bath (if the vanity unit is replaced with a smaller sink) and shower cubicle

Although a shower cubicle would be nice, I don't think you have enough space for it without compromising on the bath - an important point when selling on - so I would go for an electric power shower over the bath.

Yes - the bathroom really isn't big enough from these pics anyway.

On sight I'd consider maybe a shower bath instead of the current bath - that way you at least get a decent space to shower in without the shower curtain sticking to you!

i much prefer the sense of space showering in a bath than a standard size shower cubicle.

    What are the bathroom dimensions?

When I did mine and added a shower cubicle, I used a free website that let you put in the bath, shower, sink etc to scale to see if it all fits and where it could go.

You put in the room dimensions, where the door is and then pick a shower cubile by size and bath etc. Best way to see if it's a possible or not.

    Just a thought but

Why not go for a round/ corner bath with power shower. We got a corner spa bath a couple of years ago. It really does not take up much room. You could rip out the airing cupboard and put it in there, it would actually give you more room. Well hey we did it looks fab and worked for us.

I wouldn't go with a corner bath personally. They are really love/loath items and not waht you wnat to do if you're selling. Personally I'd go for a small bath and a good size shower cubicle. Most families would like a bath for the children and a shower for the adults. There aren't many adults that regularly chose to bathe rather than shower. I do like to have a bath every now and then but a smaller bath is fine for that.

Should have said we're not planning on selling. Only planning on leaving when we drop dead:o

Think I'll measure up and find a bathroom planner online.

I've got it in my head that we could put the bath running under the window, shower cubicle where airing cupboard is and basin on back wall where bath is. DH just shakes his head and rolls his eyes. I'm driving him mad-lol
