Patronising Item Descriptions

I am looking for a cabin bed for my daughter and thought I would have a gander on eBay. Quite like the look of this one as I can do it up to match her room, reading the description, I come across this:
It comes flat packed for self assembly with simple to follow instructions and all fixings. Lots of ladies have put these up on their own.

Now, I'm no bra-burning feminist, but really?

Anyway, I'm not sure I could possibly balance my make up in one hand, parasol in another and still manage to erect a bed ;)

I have heard of some men not being able to change a light bulb!!! How incredible it might sound, based on several true stories!

Apart from playing with fire regarding showing the furniture and mattress in the photograph but saying they are not included, in context it's not that bad.

Although, if you find it offensive - that's reasonable. There are things that upset me that don't upset other people, and vice versa. I agree it does sound pretty patronising.

They may have simply been trying to be helpful - I've abandoned more than one peice of IKEA furniture half constructed because I physically didn't have the armspan to hold all the bits in place to line up for the screws etc.

Or letting you know that if a woman can do it alone, then a man may be able to as well.
