Thanks!0 -
same for me please skye32, have been considering it for about a year but we knew we were going to be moving last year so didnt want to do anything about ti too soon, have looked into how to go about doing it and what happens etc, was more interested in finding out the emotional side of things and how my own kids would adjust to it, have obviously spoken to them (not in great detail) and they think its great but how do you ease them into it and help them adjust etc.... any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advancenow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

:hello:
To all the foster Mummy and Daddys Thank you.
I was dragged up through the care system as a child in childrens homes horrible places
But I was "rescued" By my foster mum and dad who took me in gave me a normal loving family life I genuinely believe I am who I am today because of these wonderful people. My foster mum was my mum even when I grew up left home and moved into student digs and on to meeting my hubby she was there every step of the way supporting me and loving me as her own.
My foster dad is my papa and I love him dearly My foster mum passed away a few years ago and I took it so badly but through his grief my papa still helped me get through her death and literally held me up through her funeral.
There family are my family there brothers and sisters are my Aunties and Uncles, My foster brother are my big bro's and look after me
So if you need any incentive to foster please look at my story and you'll know you are doing a great thing.
Fostering CHANGED MY LIFE.
Well done to all of you xIsn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -
Thanks for all the replies I have only just read through the last of them.
i am still unsure if to do this or not as unsure if i will have a child of my own very soon or not due to fertility issues.
and just to clear an issue up, i am not going into it for the money but wanted to know a bit more about it. if we do decide to foster i would be the stay at home parent and hubby would still work.
thanks again for all the replies, i will post again if and when i have taken the initial plunge!Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j
