Looking for some advice please, my dad has a Sky + box in his study that is quite old and is playing up. I have a Sky + box in my garage that I had before going to HD.
How would I go about setting it up for my dad please ?
thanks

All you need to do is swap the box over and then give sky a ring and tell them that you want to pair his viewing card to the new box. They will ask for a few details from the new box, and reactivate the card. Job done.

If your dads box is connected to the phoneline, you should be able to pair the card without calling Sky.
Get the remote & press

Select
then choose 'New Install' from the drop down menu & follow the prompts.
(bear with me on the above, can't quite remember if it's 100% correct but I think it is...old age setting in...)
If that doesn't work,do as Paulday suggested,I recently did the same for my aunt when her box went wonky...0 -
Its services then 4,0,1, and then select, then the new install option, but have found that this doesnt always work and the phone call has things going straight away.
