Vehicle Order Form
I'm looking for some advice on the legality/obligations on a vehicle order form.
Purchased a car yesterday on PCP from a dealership, we had been shopping around and initially were going to lease (PCH) it but the dealers deals seemed to be just as good.
Spoke to the dealer on Friday on the phone and he offered us payments of £213 a month, said that we would call in on Saturday (yesterday). Later on on Friday evening we got a quote for a PCP deal of £203 a month - same deposit. The plan was to go in to the dealership to try and get them down to this price.
Went in yesterday and he gave us a price of £195 per month, I questioned him about this as it was dearer than what he said on Friday, he checked and said it was right. We signed a vehicle order form which had the cash price on of £13K, paid £200 deposit/holding fee and thought happy days weve got a good deal, they'll sort the finance out and the car will come in 6 weeks.
Got a phone call this morning to say he had made a mix up with the price - he had took £500 too much off, so our price would now be £213. When the finance people put it through the system they had noticed. I was caught off guard a bit so mentioned this £203 quote for PCH, he said he'll speak to his manager on Monday to see if he could match that.
I then thought about it and, surley he should honour the price that he gave us and we signed up to?
Is there anything I can do to make him honour this price or can he just give us the £200 back and say that they've cancelled the order?

I would have thought that since you have signed and paid some money then you have a contract. What goes around - comes around0
