Help please with bayonet fitting light bulbs

Options
Hi,

I'm getting flummoxed about light bulbs! I bought 3 clear candle bulbs for my ceiling light from Homebase yesterday, but as the shades point upwards, there's lots of glare on the ceiling. I wanted the pearl ones but wasn't able to get them. (I don't want energy saving ones, I've got a dimmer switch and buying three dimmable ones works out a fortune!)

I've been looking on Amazon and there's lots of choice on there but it's confusing. I definitely want Philips ones as it seems some of the other ones may not be reliable, but although I know I need BC ones (bayonet connection) the ones I would like say SBC, which I know means 'small bayonet connection). The bulbs are candle & golfball ones, so I wondered if it meant the bulbs are smaller than standard ones but the fitting's the same?

I looked at the bulbs that I'm using but they just say bayonet fitting, which doesn't help.

Help please?

Many thanks,

Carrie

The terms BC & SBC refer to the fitting itself, and not the size/shape of the bulb - a BC bulb won't fit in a SBC light fitting, and vice versa. More info here.
