HI GUYS, MY SON HAS JUST SIGNED UP TO 20GB DEALWITH PRIMUS;
IS THERE A ONLINE METER THAT MONITORS HIS USAGE, SO HE CAN MAKE SURE HE DOESN,T GET HIT FOR £2.50 PER GIG, OVER AND ABOVE HIS QUOTA;?
THEY PROVIDE A FREE PHONE CALL, TO CHECK HIS USAGE, BUT WOULD BE BETTER IF HE COULD JUST CLICK AND CHECK HE,S IN THE RIGHT BAND;:beer:

    Does he have multiple devices using the internet connection (e.g. consoles, internet TVs, tablets), or is it just one computer/laptop? If it's the former then it's best to monitor the usage using the router, what make/model is it?

    hi, thanks for reply, and you penrhyn.
    he,s been without pc for long time, hence primus deal, 20gb, calls, reconnected free, £14.wanted unlimited, but budget says no;;
    he doesn,t use anything, other than laptop, acer, same as mine, aspire.
    don,t know what router yet, it,s on it,s way, just signed up yesterday. told him to keep away from films/music/youtube/etc.
    just wants to surf/shop/bank, same as me..I,m unlimited, but never checked my usage.
    thought 20gb would be enough for price.and no 130 quid re- connection charge, which bt wanted, unless he took theirs bb/phone @ £28 for 10 gb

    If you're both using the broadband, then router statistics are going to be the easiest way to do it. Many routers have that facility, but until you find out what you're getting and explore its management facility, you probably won't find out.

    hi, sorry, I may have mislead you. His bb is at his house, not mine.He is the only one using his, his house is for sale, hence no big 12 month contract for bb; I was going to try out a meter on mine to see what I use, and if it,s accurate,and how it works,then instal it on his when he goes live.:beer:
