Can anyone tell me what this is? I'm still waiting for them to sort out my 1st bill 6 months after they took it over from Southern Electric, and want to work out how much I will owe when they finally pull their finger out. Call centre is closed and can't find the info online anywhere. Thanks

Calorific values vary according to region and date, they are not a constant, and not fixed per tariff. But the variation is so small that it will make no practical difference to your final bill.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

That is the real issue. As explained, CV varies (slightly) but is exactly the same for all gas supplied (to a premises) regardless of supplier. Estimate 39.5 and you will not be far wrong.0 -
As has been said above the CV varies depending on time of year and your region.
However if you go to this site it will show you the daily figures for any region

For example in my region East Mids for the 27th April it was 39.60 -
Thanks, I didn't realise it varied by area not supplier, so based on my old SE bills it's 39.2. Meaning we've used just under £250 in 6 months.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0
