Just swinging by to declare NSD #1 - boot camp is proving good for the NSD if nothing else :rotfl:

Trying to sort out pet insurance tonight, cat's due for renewal (her insurance policy, we're not actually trading in our moggie :D) and not sure whether to go for Time Limited policy or Max Benefit. Both give £7k - £7.5k cover, Max Ben is a little more expensive. I'm just a bit torn as if it was something that was really expensive to treat, I'd prob have to question if it was best for her to be treated or not based on her quality of life. Gosh, that sounds callous, but I do think there is a line between giving a pet the best treatment you can, and treating them for conditions where they don't necessarily have the quality of life they should enjoy when I think you have to make a decision about the most loving thing to do for the pet - IYSWIM?

NSD #1 - I was out for lunch today but it's already paid for on payday thanks to my Entertainment fund, so I class as a NSD as it's already spent IYSWIM...?

Crikey that sounds confusing when I write it all down...!
  • Oh yeah! NSD 1 is in the bag!!! Rest of the week not looking great - Thursday is car service and MOT day and that is certainly not going to be cheap - I suspect I need new brakes.

I had hoped for my 1st NSD today but had to shell out bus fare to fetch the radiator hose for DD's car. DH has got his bus pass so that helps. We made a day out of it and had a minifish special from the best chip shop. Yum!
Just like to say Welcome to all our new friends on the thread. Good luck everybody. It's such a great feeling to declare an NSD and know we've saved our money.
